The project is a love letter to Sevilla that is expressed as a visual manifesto of the author's subjective perception of the city. It explores the Spanish environment through a poetic and quiet Latvian lens, shining a light on themes of perception, adaptation, and longing.
It traces a personal journey of exploration - both of the outside world and the inner self, creating a dialogue between self and place.The photographs act as witnesses to a process of observing, absorbing, and slowlybecoming part of something unfamiliar. While rooted in documentary photography, the series incorporates staged elements,transforming it from a simple representation of reality into a deeply subjective micro-world.The project doesn’t aim to objectively represent the city but rather uses it as a stage for amix between an unalive urban spirit and a passionate soul, between reality and the innerself.
